Picas Brunch & Tapas serves breakfast in Málaga every day from 09:00 at Plaza de la Merced 19, in the old town. The Malagueño (mollete with crushed tomato and serrano ham, coffee and orange juice) is €8, the English breakfast €14, and there are churros, crêpes and tostas, with tables out on the square.

Brunch in Málaga’s old town

There’s no separate brunch card: ours is the breakfast menu, with eggs and French omelettes, tostas, sweet and savoury crêpes, waffles, yoghurt with granola and fresh fruit, from 09:00 on Plaza de la Merced. Google lists us as a brunch restaurant; the menu simply says breakfast. And if brunch turns into lunch, the same kitchen serves tapas all day.

SOMETHING SWEET

Churros, crêpes
and cakes.

Churros madrileños or porras, both €6. Crêpes come in 10 kinds, from €6.50 to €8.50; waffles from €5.50, and creamy cheesecake among the cakes at €6.50.

From 16:00 to 19:00, coffee or fresh orange juice with a slice of cake or a coulant is €7.50.

We open at 09:00 every day of the week and close at midnight, with the kitchen non-stop. Breakfast starts at 09:00: ask us until what time it’s served that day.

Mornings are for coffee, toast and a table on the square. Later in the day, the same terrace serves lunch, the afternoon offer and dinner.

Our tables are out on Plaza de la Merced, under the yellow awning of number 19 and by the orange tree at the door. Children are welcome, and the entrance, the toilet and the seating are wheelchair-accessible.

GETTING HERE

Getting here on foot.

Picas Brunch & Tapas is at Plaza de la Merced 19, in Málaga’s old town. On foot it’s about 5 minutes from the Roman Theatre, about 9 from the Museo de Málaga and about 10 from the Cathedral or Calle Larios.

From Muelle Uno it’s about 17 minutes; from María Zambrano station, about 32.

What time is breakfast?

Breakfast starts at 09:00 every day. We’re open until midnight with the kitchen non-stop. Ask us until what time breakfast is served that day.

Do you have churros?

Yes: churros madrileños or porras, €6 each on the breakfast menu. See the churros

Can I sit outside?

Yes, on our terrace on Plaza de la Merced. Children are welcome, and the entrance, toilet and seating are wheelchair-accessible.

Can I take breakfast away?

Yes, breakfast can be taken away: tell us when you order. We don’t deliver.

Do you have plant-based milk?

Almond, soya and oat milk, and lactose-free milk, are available for €0.50 extra. The breakfast menu doesn’t mark allergens: please ask before ordering.

Can I have lunch here?
